Types Of Notebook Batteries
Nickel Cadmium Notebook Batteries - These are the first rechargeable batteries manufactured for notebook computers. Manufacturers loved these batteries because these cost relatively low and produce high output. Today, though, these batteries are no longer being used because they are heavier and no longer as efficient as the newer kind of notebook batteries.
Nickel Metal Hydride - Nickel metal hydride notebook batteries are usually used for older models of notebook computers. These are more reliable than nickel cadmium notebook batteries and produce even higher output. The only problem with these batteries is that they need to be discharged fully, otherwise, it will remember this and will produce a non-perfect battery output the next time you use it.
Lithium Ion - These batteries are the ones being used in most notebook computers. Lithium Ion batteries are lighter than both the nickel metal hydride and nickel cadmium batteries. Aside from that, Lithium Ion batteries will not produce memory effect. The only downside to these batteries are the fact that they tend to be more expensive.
